Learners become QTIMERs

This is a call out to those who believe in the pursuit of learning to consider becoming a QTIME Learner, in short QTIMER.

Swami Vivekananda called out to make Education as a movement – that is to reach the doorstep of every one who had the aspirations to get educated. It was in the 20th century setting and a similar call is necessary once again in the chaotic 21st century for different reasons.

It is time now to gain the loyalty, the membership and the support necessary to start a movement – a movement relevant to the 21st century learning landscape, specific to the 21st century needs, measurable with the 21st century tools and achievable by everyone who aspires to learn in this chaotic setting.

Why am I saying that the learning is chaotic now? I hear you asking me that question and to yourself too. To answer that question directly and putting it simply, the learning landscape has changed. If you had obtained your degree in 20th century, think how you had obtained it then and how it can be obtained now in 21st century.

The global connectivity, increased understanding of one’s own position in the global setting, removal of structures that once blocked the horizon, the increased capacity to provide the content in various forms and ways, networking to go beyond academic to social, business and organic have changed the traditional forms of learning. The traditional form of teaching has to reform itself for 21st century to shape the learning landscape in 21st century.

While the growth spurts are sporadic and intense and with many unintentional consequences, the upside to it is that the education is now ripe to bring about innovation in almost everything that we do, say or see. But the downside to it is that the education itself has become fragmented with many types of gaps between what is expected of learning to what is really being learnt.

I started to create the QTIME Learning framework that can take control of the chaotic nature of the 21st century learning to a more manageable setting through learning dimensions, learning quadrants, and, introducing continuous and cyclical, expanding and shrining, bound and unbound concepts of learning, to help the analysis of various forms of learning gaps in a more meaningful way and making the effort more useful. Thomas Edison once said ‘genius is 1% aspiration and 99% perspiration’, and, the very truth of that is making it difficult to change the time-tested structure of  20th century education to aspire for 21st century learning.

It is time now to start a movement to change all that and take education to the doorstep of every person who aspires to learn, but with the tools that 21st century is offering and with the help from QTIME learning framework. Become a QTIMER and conquer the landscape than to become a victim of it and loose the battle.

A short video below explains the learning landscape that we have seen and been part of.

I do not have any secrets for you or in a position to give you the tips and tricks to become a QTIMER. When the FOUR action steps of QTIME learning are as simple as ABCD, I don’t need to hide any secrets from you. I would rather create an intent to learn and let you use that power of intent to become a QTIMER! That intent will be magnified if many of you become QTIMERS!

Below is a short video on QTIME learning principles.
